Hope Connections for Cancer Support
We are proud to be partnering with Hope Connections for Cancer Support, formerly The Wellness Community-DC. Hope Connections’ mission is:
“To help people with cancer and their loved ones deal with the emotional and physical impact of cancer through participation in professionally facilitated programs of emotional support, education, wellness and hope.”
All Hope Connections programs are free of charge to the public.
A portion of the proceeds from the Rock the Creek Relay will be donated to Hope Connections to enable it to continue providing these much needed services.
Team Red, White & Blue
The Rock the Creek Relay is proud to include Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB) as a charitable partner. We will donate a portion of the proceeds from the Rock the Creek Relay to Team RWB.
Team RWB’s vision is to transform the way wounded veterans are reintegrated into society when they return from combat and exit their position in the Active Duty force or National Guard.
While much has improved since the post-Vietnam era, some polarization between veterans and our society still exists today. Strong relationships between wounded veterans and their fellow Americans are critical to veterans’ reintegration into civilian life as well as our nation’s success. That’s why Team RWB’s mission is to enrich the lives of wounded veterans and their families.
Seed Programs International
Seed Programs International provides quality seeds and critically-needed expertise to impoverished communities in developing countries. The strategy initiates a cycle of self-sufficiency that
gives people resources they need to feed themselves. Extra vegetables are readily sold to bring household income. Gardeners are then able to cover school fees and supplies, garden equipment, and healthcare, furthering their ability to overcome poverty.
With SPI’s investment in their futures, people around the world are achieving better lives—for their families and their communities.
